Tiny Tots
Ages: 2-3 years
Prerequisite to Take Class: None
Maximum Class Size: 6 students
Tiny Tots is for children new to the water, fearful of water, or those who are transitioning to swimming without the parent in the water.
Pre 1
Ages: 3-5 years
Prequisite to Take Class: None
Maximum Class Size: 6 students
Pre 1 is for children new to the water, fearful of water, or those who are transitioning to swimming without the parent in the water.
Pre 2
Ages: 3-5 years
Prerequisite to Take Class: Pre 1 Skills - No fear of the water, comfortable with the instructor and away from parents, able to swim with assistance on front and back. Students should be able to do independent back floats and face-down front floats or demonstrate a willingness to try independent floats. Pre 2 students will be able to submerge their head in a rhythmic pattern (bobs) 5 times and blow bubbles in the water.

Pre 3
Ages: 3-5 years
Prerequisite to Take Class: Pre 3 students will be able to swim on their own (front crawl, backstroke, front/back torpedoes). They demonstrate comfort in deeper water. They can perform front, face-down glide and back glide. Front crawl stroke with rhythmic breathing by rolling onto back (15 yards). Independent swim on back with flutter kick and horizontal body position.

Beg 1
Ages: 6 years and up
Prequisite to Take Class: Beginner 1 students are new to the water. There are no prerequisites.

Beg 2
Ages: 6 years and up
Pre-Requisite to Take Class: No fear of the water, comfortable with the instructor and the class material. The Beginner 2 student will be able to Front, face-down glide and back glide. Front crawl stroke with rhythmic breathing by rolling onto back (15 yards). Independent swim on back with flutter kick and horizontal body position. Backstroke (15 yards). Elementary backstroke (10 yards).

Beg 3
Ages: 6 years and up
Prequisite to Take Class: The Beginner 3 student must be able to swim the width on their own with rolls. Comfortable swimming in water up to 9 feet deep.
Maximum Class Size: 8 students
Intermediate
Ages: 6 years and up
Prequisite to Take Class: Can swim the length of the pool with quality side breathing. Swim backstroke, breaststroke, and dolphin kick for the length of the pool.
Maximum Class Size: 8 students
Stroke Refinement
Ages: 6 years and up
Prequisite to Take Class: Crawl stroke with alternate side breathing and backstroke (50 yards). Breaststroke with proper technique combining proper arm movement, kick and breathing (50 yards). Butterfly with proper dolphin kick (25 yards). Dive in kneeling and standing position. Tread water for 1 minute. Swim underwater (5 yards).

ST2 Swim Team Technique
Ages: 8 years and up
Prequisite to Take Class: Must be able to perform the crawl stroke with alternate side breathing and backstroke with flip turns (150 yards). Breaststroke with proper technique and timing (150 yards). Butterfly with proper technique combining arm movement, kick, and breathing (50 yards). Dive from starting blocks.

Junior Lifeguarding Certification Course
Ages: 11-14

For participants between 11‐14 years old. American Red Cross Junior
Lifeguarding is designed to guide youth to the American Red Cross
Lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes,
and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or
perfectly execute skills. They should learn techniques and build stamina
during this program.
Junior Lifeguarding will introduce participants to:
- The skills needed for entry to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course.
- Communication, teamwork, and decision‐making skills.
- The basic responsibilities of a lifeguard.
- The basic knowledge and skills required to participate in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course.
Winter Swim Team
Winter Swim Team training builds on the basics of competitive swimming. These skills include:
Competition freestyle, 50 yds.
Competition backstroke, 50 yds.
Competition breaststroke, 50 yds.
Competition butterfly, 50 yds.
