Baby Jamboree 0-1 year olds

Foundations: Baby Boogie is all about joyful bonding through music! Caregivers learn delightful ways to play musically with their babies while nurturing sensory development and natural musicianship. Together we enjoy bouncing songs, peek-a-boo games, tickling rhymes, baby massage, dancing, and playful prop exploration.

Live guitar and high-quality recorded music accompany our activities, filling the room with rhythm and melody. Even our youngest babies respond with smiles, giggles, and coos as they begin to recognize and anticipate changes in meter and tempo. This class is a sweet bonding time and a wonderful way to meet other families. Older and younger siblings are always welcome to join.

Preschool jamboree 3 .5-5 year olds

Stage 3: Imaginary Play (Ages 3–5)

Imaginary play is one of our favorite ways to help preschoolers broaden their musical horizons as they begin to discover the joy of playing and singing together in an ensemble. Children are introduced to our full range of instruments—including our beautiful Orff instruments such as glockenspiels and resonator bells—and begin orchestrating familiar songs with more than one instrument.

They’ll delight in learning how to be a conductor, acting out songs, exploring simple dances, and experimenting with solo singing, echo singing, and group singing to develop strong pitch and vocal skills. We also introduce the use of musical notes and music vocabulary in fun, age-appropriate ways. Puppets, props, and creative movement continue to enrich their experience, while exposure to classical, folk, and world music expands their cultural awareness.

This is a child-only class, but we use a gentle approach to separation. If needed, caregivers may stay quietly at the back of the room, and you’ll be invited in for a special shared activity during the last 5–8 minutes of class.

Kids jamboree 2 -4 yr olds

Stage 2: I can do it myself - Independence Day is here! This is a wonderful age for making music, as children are eager to participate in independent activities while learning to observe and follow the example of the teacher. The children now have a choice of being with their grownup or sitting as a group with their teacher. Echo singing and call and response are encouraged to develop language, listening, and pitch matching skills. Children learn the rhythmic differences between walk, run, tippy-toe, gallop, and march. Using our many varied instruments, children learn how to make "soft" and "loud" sounds, and when to play "fast" or "slow". Circle dances, creative movement, puppets, felt board activities, and songbooks provide a creative dimension to their music-making experience. By the end of the year, children will be playing the full range of our vast instrument collection - drums, shakers, metals, woods, tambourines, and resonator bells. All are designed to allow the children to accompany themselves while they sing and to fully express themselves rhythmically. They will start to play together as a group and learn to accompany themselves on various instruments. At the end of the year, to everyone's delight, they will be encouraged to entertain us with a solo!
