Kasey is a beloved fixture at TMSA—a teacher whose warmth, creativity, and genuine love for her students have made her a favorite of families for years. She received her Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from Jacksonville State University in 2018 and has spent the last seven years with TMSA teaching piano, ukulele, and intro to music classes.

In addition to teaching, Kasey serves as Program Director for Harmony Explorers, our music program for children ages 3-5. She's also written toddler curriculum for previous TMSA programs, bringing a rare blend of expertise: deep musicianship paired with a true understanding of how young children learn, play, and discover. Her thoughtful, imaginative approach shapes the Harmony Explorers experience and the joyful environment families have come to love.

Kasey teaches all ages but finds the greatest joy in working with our youngest beginners. She believes that music is a natural and joyous part of childhood, and she considers it a personal mission to engage students in creative ways—helping them build the skills and confidence needed for a lifelong bond with music.

Outside of TMSA, Kasey treasures time with her extended family and loves reading and writing stories. She and her husband have a toddler daughter who keeps them happily busy when Kasey isn't teaching—an experience that, no doubt, deepens her insight into the magical world of early childhood music.

photo Madison Corkill

Madison Corkill brings warmth, joy, and a deep love of music to her work with our youngest learners. She's thrilled to be teaching Harmony Explorers, where she introduces children ages 3-5 to the wonder of music from around the world—sparking curiosity, sharing songs, and helping little ones discover the magic of making music together. For Madison, there's nothing more rewarding than watching a toddler's face light up at the sound of a new rhythm or instrument.

Madison's own musical journey began with piano lessons in second grade, and she picked up the trumpet in fifth grade. She went on to earn her Bachelor's in Music Education from Jacksonville State University, where she spent four years with the Marching Southerners, played cornet in the award-winning brass band, and performed in multiple trumpet ensembles. In addition to teaching Harmony Explorers, she shares her expertise with TMSA students as a trumpet and beginning piano instructor.

Madison believes the most important part of music lessons—at any age—is having fun. She creates a safe, encouraging space where children feel comfortable exploring, experimenting, and making mistakes, because she knows that joyful discovery is the foundation of a lifelong love of music. Her patient, playful approach is especially well-suited to the curiosity and energy of preschoolers.

Outside of music, Madison loves spending time with her two cats, Nova and Rubi (who treat her houseplants more like a snack bar than décor). She's a big Taylor Swift fan, devours fantasy novels, loves trying new foods, and enjoys making music with friends. Her warmth and wide range of interests help her connect authentically with every child and family she works with.

Christine Herring has been immersed in music since early childhood, beginning with simple piano pieces like "Chopsticks" on her grandmother's piano. She went on to study flute, while also discovering a deeper passion for guitar and percussion—instruments that continue to shape her musical interests today. Her background is rooted in hands-on exploration and a love of rhythm, sound, and creative expression across many instruments.

Christine's teaching approach is playful, engaging, and curiosity-driven, with a focus on helping children experience music in an active, joyful way. She loves incorporating music from around the world to keep lessons fresh and inspiring, encouraging little ones to explore rhythm, movement, and sound with wonder. Attentive to each child's needs, she creates a learning environment that is safe, supportive, and full of encouragement—an especially natural fit for our youngest Harmony Explorers.

Outside of teaching, Christine is a mom, artist, musician, and photographer. She loves spending time outdoors with her kids, going on adventures, and finding creative inspiration in everyday life.

Alizah Kaite brings warmth, creativity, and over five years of early childhood music experience to our Harmony Explorers program. She has a natural gift for connecting with young learners and a deep understanding of how preschoolers experience music—through movement, story, song, and play. Her background includes creating and leading a local children's music program where she sings, plays ukulele, and incorporates puppetry to create joyful, developmentally rich experiences for little ones. Years of dance training further strengthen her focus on rhythm, movement, and coordination—skills at the heart of early music learning.

Alizah's classes are thoughtfully structured to meet preschoolers right where they are. She blends creativity with clear, age-appropriate instruction, keeping children engaged through movement, storytelling, and interactive activities while gently building foundational skills like listening, rhythm, and musical awareness. Attentive and responsive in the moment, she adjusts her approach to support each child's focus and participation, creating a positive, encouraging environment where young students feel comfortable, supported, and excited to explore music.

Outside of teaching, Alizah enjoys dancing West Coast Swing, hiking, and exploring live music—and she brings that same energy and joy into every class. At home, she spends time with her dog, Cooper, and stays close with her daughter, who is currently in college.
