Cooking Improv!
Cook Together, Learn Together, Make a Difference

Join us for a fun and free family friendly cooking class that brings the community together around good food and a great cause. In this fun, hands-on class, you will learn how to cook with what’s on hand—just like we do at La Soupe when we rescue food to reduce waste and feed our community. Together, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how we Rescue, Transform, and Share food to fight hunger and save perfectly good ingredients.

You will:

  • Learn about La Soupe’s mission and how food rescue works

  • Practice basic kitchen and knife safety skills

  • Help prep rescued produce for La Soupe’s meals

  • Get creative by cooking without a recipe using what’s available

  • Make and enjoy a shared family-style meal with other participants

With support from our chef instructor, this class is a chance to build kitchen confidence, try new foods, and give back—all while connecting with others in our community. No cost to attend—just come ready to learn, cook, and have fun!
