Clair is a Denver native, and attended the Denver Waldorf School from kindergarten through 8th grade.  After graduating from Metropolitan State College with a BA in Creative Writing, she traveled to Nepal and volunteered  at the Tashi Waldorf School. Inspiration was renewed by the health and beauty of this experience of Waldorf education again, and shortly after she pursued her Master's in Education and Waldorf training at Antioch University, New England.

Not long after graduation, Clair took a job teaching kindergarten at the Brooklyn Waldorf School, where she and her husband helped form the school leadership and shape the early childhood program.  After having their first child, the family relocated back to Denver.  SInce then, Clair has enjoyed time with her two boys, doula work, teaching caregiver/child classes at Boulder Valley Waldorf School and at the Denver Waldorf School, and developing a Waldorf inspired outdoor home program.  She is passionate about parent education, and loves being with little children. She is also pursuing training in trauma informed pedagogy, through the Center of Anthroposophy.  She loves most to be with her family, travel, and drink really good coffee.

Born and raised in Colorado, Lydia adventured to the east coast to attend college. She graduated from the School of Foreign Service at  Georgetown University. While serving overseas with her husband at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Lydia discovered her passion for public health and became a registered nurse. In her work at the bedside, Lydia has developed a deep understanding of the human being through health and illness.

When her daughter began kindergarten, Lydia was introduced to Waldorf Education and the insights it provides around human development, caregiving, and health. Inspired by her children’s experience at the Denver Waldorf School, Lydia completed the LifeWays Early Childhood Certificate Program based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. She currently works as a teacher at Raphael’s Garden, a therapeutic Waldorf Kindergarten.

When she isn’t in the classroom, Lydia enjoys gardening with her children, home improvement projects, and taking trips to nearby hot springs.
