Storybook Illustration Camp

Storybook Illustration Camp brings art and writing together to help students create a story that is completely their own.

At the start of the camp, students will learn how to develop characters, settings, and story ideas. From there, they will begin building their own narratives through both words and illustrations, discovering how pictures and text work together to tell a story.

Stories can take many forms in this camp. Students may choose to create a full picture book, a short story, or even a collection of illustrated poems. The focus is on creativity, self expression, and giving students the freedom to tell stories in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Throughout the week, students will practice drawing, storytelling, sequencing, and creative writing while gaining confidence in sharing their ideas. By the end of the camp, each student will have a completed illustrated story they can proudly take home and share, knowing it started from their imagination.
