Madison Corkill brings warmth, joy, and a deep love of music to her work with our youngest learners. She's thrilled to be teaching Harmony Explorers, where she introduces children ages 3-5 to the wonder of music from around the world—sparking curiosity, sharing songs, and helping little ones discover the magic of making music together. For Madison, there's nothing more rewarding than watching a toddler's face light up at the sound of a new rhythm or instrument.
Madison's own musical journey began with piano lessons in second grade, and she picked up the trumpet in fifth grade. She went on to earn her Bachelor's in Music Education from Jacksonville State University, where she spent four years with the Marching Southerners, played cornet in the award-winning brass band, and performed in multiple trumpet ensembles. In addition to teaching Harmony Explorers, she shares her expertise with TMSA students as a trumpet and beginning piano instructor.
Madison believes the most important part of music lessons—at any age—is having fun. She creates a safe, encouraging space where children feel comfortable exploring, experimenting, and making mistakes, because she knows that joyful discovery is the foundation of a lifelong love of music. Her patient, playful approach is especially well-suited to the curiosity and energy of preschoolers.
Outside of music, Madison loves spending time with her two cats, Nova and Rubi (who treat her houseplants more like a snack bar than décor). She's a big Taylor Swift fan, devours fantasy novels, loves trying new foods, and enjoys making music with friends. Her warmth and wide range of interests help her connect authentically with every child and family she works with.
