A hands-on approach to music! We will study acoustics of sound through creating and building musical instruments this week. Each day we will create projects that allow us to explore musical sound production using wind, strings, tapping and drumming through guided steps. And we'll have time to make our wild creations based on what we now know about sound! Our weeklong project will be building dulcimers complete with fretboards, personally designed bodies, tuners, bridges, and strings! We can use these to play songs from our Songbooks by week's end.
A hands-on approach to art! We will learn basic sculpture techniques and complete teacher-guided and self-guided art projects. Using different media and projects throughout the week, we will have an opportunity to create in various ways, together and individually. Campers will take home projects at the end of the week.
*Smaller camps allow us to keep a relaxed "summertime" vibe and to cater to our individual campers based on age/skills/interest.
*Small local company, mom-musician-educator owned and operated. Our Meadowlark families are beloved around here. :)
