11 MAR- 1 APR
Cost: $115 for 4 wks
In this hands-on workshop you’ll work with both reclaimed flatware and metal to create unique jewellery and small metal pieces. Old spoons and forks can become rings, bracelets or decorative creations, while additional metal allows you to experiment with shaping and making jewellery from scratch.
The class is run by local metal sculpture artist Jimbo, who will guide you through practical techniques for cutting, shaping, bending and refining metal so your pieces are strong, wearable and well finished.
No experience is needed. The session is relaxed, social and focused on learning by doing. By the end of the class you’ll head home with your own handmade jewellery and a new appreciation for how everyday metal objects can be transformed into something personal and lasting.
