Learn the relaxing and rewarding art of mosaics. Mosaic is an ancient and addictive art using glass, tile and other mixed media materials to create intriguing scenes and patterns.

Mosaic on a range of pre-loved surfaces! Breathe new life into a cracked plate or chipped vase and assemble a beautiful artwork.

We will take you through setting up your workspace, to planning and completing your mosaic including grouting and finishing techniques. Come and be inspired to create something utterly unique while learning about the many mosaic techniques and tools.  

What you get:

• Guidance & expert tuition from your teachers, beginning with a flat, ceramic tile project that will lay the foundations to your lifelong mosaic journey
• Use of tools, some glue and grouting of projects
• AMS Art Studio has some materials for communal use
• The studio has a large retail area should you require additional tiles and bling for your projects
• Time for you and companionship with like-minded people

What to bring: 

• Apron
• Clothes you do not mind getting dirty
• Closed in shoes
• Towel
• Safety glasses
• Long hair tied back
• Snacks & water
• Jacket for cooler weather

For returning students, you can bring an item you would like to cover with mosaics if desired, most surfaces can be used to mosaic providing there is no flexibility of movement, such as plastics.
