Our teachers are trained and registered by Music Together®® LLC. They are knowledgeable and passionate about early childhood music development and strive to create a fun, informal, social setting that encourages adult participation and supports each child's individual spiral of music learning.
Patsy Lawry has been teaching early childhood music and movement programs since 1997. In addition to teaching Music Together, she has had extensive experience in providing children’s music programs for daycares, pre-schools, and libraries. She founded Music Together of New Haven County in Connecticut in 1998 and was the director for eight years. In 2006 she moved to San Antonio where she taught for Fiesta Music Together before becoming the director in 2008. She has been teaching Music Together for Children’s Chorus of San Antonio since 2010. Lawry holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut. She is a certified Orff teacher, a certified Music Together teacher, and a certified Music for People facilitator.
Nicole is passionate about music and the development of children. She studied horn and music education at Florida State University. After receiving her BME she started teaching elementary music in 1998. While teaching, Nicole earned distinctions such as Teacher of the Year, Orff Level I & II certifications, and National Board Teacher Certification in Early/Middle Childhood music. Nicole has taught children of all ages and has a wide variety of ensemble experiences. Mother to 2 boys, Nicole was a participant in Music Together before her teacher training. She has been teaching with CCSA since the summer of 2018 and teaches at the Helotes, MACSA, and Radius locations. For fun, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and she is a musician in the local San Antonio Brass Band.
