Mr. Jake
ArKIDtecture Camp (Ages 6–12)
Calling all young architects, engineers, and creators! At ArKIDtecture Camp, campers will explore the exciting world of architecture, design, and engineering through hands-on building challenges, creative projects, and imaginative construction adventures.
Throughout the week, children will discover how homes, bridges, skyscrapers, and entire cities are designed while developing problem-solving, teamwork, critical-thinking, and design skills. Using model building, structural design, and creative problem-solving, campers will be introduced to real-world engineering concepts in a fun and age-appropriate way. Architecture-based programs often combine design, model-making, building challenges, and STEAM learning to help children think like architects and engineers.
Campers Will:
- Design and build their own dream homes and skyscrapers
- Construct bridges and test their strength and stability
- Create miniature cities complete with roads, parks, and landmarks
- Explore famous architectural wonders from around the world
- Learn how architects use blueprints, scale, and design thinking
- Participate in team-building challenges and architectural scavenger hunts
- Turn their creative ideas into working models and structures
Using cardboard, LEGO® bricks, recycled materials, craft supplies, and engineering tools, campers will imagine, design, build, test, and improve their creations just like real architects and engineers. Along the way, they'll learn that great designs come from creativity, collaboration, and perseverance. Model-building and hands-on design activities help children develop spatial reasoning, engineering skills, and confidence while bringing their ideas to life.
Build it. Test it. Improve it. Create it. Welcome to ArKIDtecture Camp!
**Each child must bring their own lunch, 2 snack, and a water bottle. **
