Coding Club: Scratch Basic Games
Bloomington Poplar Bridge (location map)
Friday, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
05/01/20 - 05/22/20 (4 weeks)

The Engineering For Kids CODING Club helps develop your child’s creativity, problem solving skills, teamwork and technology knowledge in an engaging, collaborative way though fun and practical challenges.  Each 4-wk session introduces students to a different coding activity to develop 21st Century skills and bring authentic learning as students get to build something that they can share with family and friends.

Perfect for children who are new to coding, this class is a fun introduction to Scratch, a free computer coding programming language, that will take kids from playing games to creating them. Simple and logical instructions help kids make their own Scratch Cat soccer game, design a ghost hunt that features a flying witch, animate a bouncing melon, or build a game to test reaction speeds. Children then can share the finished games with friends to see how they score.
