West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (location map)
Monday, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
09/30/19 - 11/18/19 (8 weeks)

Has the ukulele bug bit you yet? This Beginning Ukulele class provides a low-risk, high-challenge, all-fun learning environment and requires no previous musical experience. As a result of taking this class, you will be singing and strumming familiar songs right away! We provide all class materials for you. In addition, we will supply you with supportive materials for your weekly practice, including recap emails and practice videos.

Bring your instrument and an open mind. By the end of your six weeks in Beginning Ukulele, you will be able to play popular songs such as Don’t Stop Believin’, Take Me Home Country Roads and the iconic Over the Rainbow as arranged by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. Furthermore, you will be able to recognize the musician you’ve always been, and to make use of essential tips and tricks to advance and deepen your learning.

Note: We designed this class for soprano, concert, and tenor ukulele players. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are a baritone ukulele player, so we can arrange adapted materials for you. Not sure if you have a baritone? Let us know that, too:

Note: This class is not held at Artichoke.  It is held (W Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship) - 8470 SW Oleson Road.

Offered by Song by Song™, owned and directed by Avery Hill. Taught by Kristina Chambers.
