Clawhammer Banjo IV: Intermediate/Advanced Banjo Repertoire
Leela Grace
Rose City Folk School (location map)
Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:55 PM
09/12/18 - 10/24/18 (7 weeks)

This brand new class is for banjo players who have completed Leela's Clawhammer Banjo III class or who have solid experience in the clawhammer style (i.e. you can play a variety of tunes at a moderate tempo, can play in several tunings and use a capo to play in different keys, and have some experience in drop thumbing). You will learn a selection of awesome new old time tunes that have not been taught in Leela's previous group classes. This is your chance to expand your repertoire while challenging yourself to hone your technical skills. The tunes will be taught by ear, but audio files and tab will be shared after each class. It is suggested that your banjo have a 5th string 'spikes' in the 7th and 9th frets (or a 5th string capo) installed, and that you bring a banjo strap, electronic tuner, and banjo capo.

Note: The class will be limited to 12 participants. Pre-registration is required.
