The focus of this Adult Musical Theater class is finding the song or role that’s calling your name! From classics to contemporary — Rodgers & Hammerstein to Alicia Keys — performers will connect with material that truly “gets” them. In this fun, supportive workshop, you’ll choose a song, monologue, and/or scene and strengthen your storytelling through acting and song in a collaborative master class setting. Take risks, make truthful choices, build confidence, and bring out your best, most memorable work — culminating in a final showcase. All levels of experience are welcome!

Kristy Graves has worked professionally as a director, musician, and performer for over 30 years, with credits spanning Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, film, and television. She has shared the stage with Bernadette Peters, Gwen Verdon, Blythe Danner, and Robert De Niro, and trained at both Juilliard and LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts. More recently, Kristy has brought her experience and passion for storytelling to hundreds of students throughout the Tri-State Area, helping performers find their voices and bring greater truth and confidence to their work.
