B3 Multi-STEAM (Robotics, Coding, 3-D Game Design)
B3 Staff
River city science Academy Elementary (location map)
Thursday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
01/21/26 - 04/30/26 (14 weeks)

Kids will go Full STEAM in this program. A different theme will be covered each month.

Month 1 : Kid Code - Amazing Apps & Drone Programming.

Month 2 : Robotics & Drones Programming.

Month 3 : 3-D Game Design.

Month 4 : Future Minecraft Engineers.

Month 5:  Lego®Engineering Lab

Month 6 :  Super Slime Lab

The same theme may get rotated for future months with new activities.

Kid Code - Amazing Apps & Drone Programming - Kids will experience multiple age-appropriate coding platforms from sequencing to building mobile downloadable apps to programing a drone & make it fly.

Coding Concepts that will be covered as part of the complete program : Algorithm, Coordinates, Sequencing, Debugging, Conditionals, functions, Variables, motion loops, simple arrays.

Robotics & Drone Programming - Kids will experience a variety of age appropriate & LEGO compatible robots & Drones that let kids with all levels of experience successfully build and/or program these amazing robots! Starting with building cool working Lego robots and advance to robots that can be programmed with remotes, drop and drag block programing, and even python-based programming language for advanced students!

3-D Game Design (Grade 2+) : Kids will learn basics of 3-D Game Design and build their own games.

Future Minecraft Engineers (Grade 2+) : This unique gamified experience which blends physical building with virtual storytelling to engage kids in STEAM learning. Need a button to move in the game? Build it yourself and learn the basics of circuitry and electrical engineering!

Lego Engineering Lab : This hands-on LEGO stem class uses specialized Duplo & Lego materials from LEGO Education to introduce basic science and engineering concepts.  Students will build, test and record results creating fun simple machines that really work! . Kids will build simple machines including gears, gear ratios levers, wheel & axle, potential and kinetic energy, force, by building LEGO® contraptions from Crazy Action Contraptions.

Super Slime Lab : Students will become an expert slime-ologist and learn about the science of polymers.  Experiment with different reactants and formulas to create: galaxy slime, thermochromic slime, photochromatic slime, magnetic slime, glow in the dark slime and more! . Number of slimes covered will depend on the duration of class and number of sessions.
