Bella Mills Bio
Bella is a choreographer, teacher, and director who uses dance as a narrative tool to celebrate individuality, awkwardness, and the beauty of being unconventional. Raised in a homeschool environment that encouraged creativity and self-expression, she developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in humor, storytelling, and the absurdities of everyday life. Her work transforms familiar moments—such as uncomfortable elevator rides, underqualified job interviews, or revisiting a cluttered childhood bedroom—into theatrical, emotionally resonant experiences that invite audiences to embrace their quirks rather than hide them.
A finalist in the 2025 international A.C.E. Awards choreography competition, Bella presented her acclaimed work The World’s Jazziest Case of the Blues, a piece that humorously explored the feeling of being a few steps behind society’s relentless pace. The success of this work, along with over five years of professional experience, has led her to choreograph dozens of award-winning solo and group pieces for dancers across the country.
Currently completing her B.F.A. in Dance with a Minor in Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, Bella is now expanding her creative vision into film and television. Through every medium she explores, she remains committed to encouraging others to reject conformity and bring more much-needed weirdness back into the world.
