MARIA-PAZ born in Lima, Peru, is a Social Communicator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a professional dancer with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She has mastered a wide range of styles including Ballet, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Heels, Jazz Funk, Pop, Latin, Jazz, and her favorite, Reggaeton. Her teaching blends technique, passion, and a transformative approach that makes every class a unique and empowering experience.
Her most recent work has been as an instructor and choreographer for Luminesque Dance, the most prestigious heels company in British Columbia, Canada. She is also the creator of Fuego, a reggaeton and empowering dance project designed to inspire women and youth to embrace confidence, strength, and self‑expression through movement.
Throughout her career, María-Paz has choreographed and performed in television commercials, musicals, and live events, and has worked as a choreographer for local artists. She has been recognized for her creativity, leadership, and ability to inspire her students in both academic and professional settings.
Her artistic training spans prestigious institutions in Peru, Argentina, the United States, and Canada, including the Julio Bocca Foundation in Buenos Aires, the Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds Studio, and the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. Beyond her artistic career, she is an Early Childhood Educator and Educational Assistant, which provides her with a strong pedagogical foundation that enriches her teaching practice. A native Spanish speaker and proud of her Latin heritage, María-Paz believes deeply in the magic of dance as a transformative force. Her mission is to inspire others to discover their inner power and experience dance as a path to freedom, confidence, and authenticity.
