ALTERED BOOKS: Open Studio
Apr 13, 2019 - Apr 13, 2019

Calling all mixed media paper crafters & altered book (journal) creators, grab those projects that you never have time to do and come on down to our new once a month open studio session just for you! Led by Michelle Landry, this special 3 hour studio time allows you to not only carve out some creative time just for you, but will also introduce you to a new project or technique every month. Studio time is generally unstructured, your work on whatever it is that you want, however Michelle will have a short “lab” at the beginning of each studio time that will introduce you to a short new project or technique as well as being there to help you through creative challenges or answer questions throughout the session. Take advantage of the open time, the extensive array of tools and materials that you may not have access to at home, collaborate and share ideas with other creative folks, and swap with others at the “de-stash” table. You will leave with a creative prompt that may inspire some projects for the next month, or just a renewed sense of self. (This is not a class so if you would like to learn how to make books sign up for the next Altered Book Workshop). * Some materials will be provided, however they will be limited and participants are expected to bring their own items to work on.
