Learn the basics of Kathak in an environment of movement, music, culture and fun. Classes focus on rhythm, mathematics and body vocabulary. Progressive levels of Kathak follow after completion of set Beginner exam. Difficulty of classes run from Beginner to masters.

One hour Bollywood Dance Fitness class using Bollywood dance movements, fitness and yoga exercises to stretch, strengthen and tone muscles and build cardiovascular endurance.

Join us for a fun-filled half-day camp! We'll start with an exciting warm-up game to get everyone energized. Then, we'll learn a dynamic Bollywood dance routine to a popular track. Finally, we'll cool down with some relaxing exercises to unwind and refresh.

Come ready to move, groove, and have a great time!

Mujra is a dance derived from Kathak, a classical Indian dance.During Mughal era, it got a beautiful integration with the influence of middle-eastern art. Dance style, music, attire, language and presentation. A finest form of art was evolved. It's a beautiful and elegant dance that incorporates the entire body. Fine facial expressions, eyebrows, eyes, lips, body language are used to express different emotions. Music incorporates with fluid handmovements, beautiful hand gestures, and a gorgeous footwork. Graceful costume with long flair skirt and unique ankle-bells are mandatory elements that makes the dance more spectacular. Bollywood is the only place where this art-form could survive as an art-form, every other place, it has been awfully exploited.

This workshop will be taught by Puja Amin. Puja is a successful Kathak dancer, instructor and Artistic Director of several companies. Mujra requires sound technical 
knowledge of classical dance, specially Kathak, not to forget a strong command over expressions which is one of the most essential skills to perform an effective Mujra. Kathak fusion is her forte and venturing into Mujra with her will be a very liberating experiance!
