This five-day camp is designed for students ages 10–15 to explore art as a collaborative, social process. Each day begins with sustained work on a shared, large- scale collaborative painting that evolves over the week. Additional projects emphasize teamwork, negotiation, shared decision-making, and the experience of creating art for public and semi-public spaces within a museum environment. Students will work individually within group structures, learning how their personal ideas contribute to a collective whole. The week culminates in multiple collaborative artworks and installations that reflect both individual identities and group cohesion.
