At Farm School OC/SD, we offer a unique, hands-on learning experience! 

With animals and farming at the heart of our programs, children cultivate compassion for animals, a deep appreciation for local farming, and a strong foundation in healthy eating.

This program introduces our students to farm life, agriculture, and animal care, while also incorporating music and nature-inspired arts & crafts for an educational, creative & joyful experience! Children develop empathy and social skills through daily animal care. They also explore healthy eating by preparing and tasting farm-fresh foods & learning where their food comes from.

Magic Steps Music - Outdoor Class

Infant-5 years old

Join us for our hip shaking, head bopping, interactive and educational music classes for infants to preschoolers! Children and families will sing, dance and learn together with original music and child-friendly instrument.

This 10 week program nurture's your child's basic music skills and is also designed for optimal childhood development.

Farm School OC camps are the perfect place for your animal-loving child. Our days are filled with animal education, art, crafts, music and hands on animal interactions. Our mission is to model love, respect and empathy for animals. This program inspires a love for learning in a creative and fun way! Our camp includes the following: t-shirt, zoo entrance, feed for animals, art supplies, arts & crafts & seasonal food preparation and tasting!

Then come to one of our Magic Steps Music demo classes to experience what a full Magic Steps Music session is all about!

Our demo classes are just $35 per family.

Demo classes only available at select locations.

Siblings under 8 months are always free!

Be sure to bring a blanket and any child friendly instruments.

On warmer days please also remember a hat, sunscreen and water for your child.

If you decide to continue to join in on the fun, instrument kits are available at every class for $35 and come with a little tote back to store all your instruments in.

Magic Steps Music - Hybrid Class

Infant-5 years old

Join us for our hip shaking, head bopping, interactive and educational music classes for infants to preschoolers! Children and families will sing, dance and learn together with original music and child-friendly instrument.

This 10 week program nurture's your child's basic music skills and is also designed for optimal childhood developement.

This class location offers an indoor/outdoor option so we can accomdate any weather during the fall/winter. Class will meet outside on appropriate days and indoors when needed.

This program offers a fun, teacher-led circle time with stories, music, and farm-themed lessons, encouraging parental involvement. Children and caregivers engage in hands-on learning tables featuring sensory activities, nature inspired creative projects, play-based exploration, and food tastings inspired by the farm. Enjoy all-day farm access, allowing you to explore the farm and spend extra time with all the farm animals for a full hands-on experience!

This program is for ages 15 months -3.

$25 annual registration fee is required to cover the required Farm School OC/SD t-shirt.

Then come join us for a drop-in class and come the days you are able to come!

At Farm School OC our passion is teaching children about healthy eating and nutrition plus compassion and care towards animals. We believe that teaching compassion towards animals and healthy eating habits is something that we must start young for children to development healthy habits for life.

Our Farm School OC Enrichment program for olders students from 8 years of age to 12 years of age will be focusing on the same principals of our other Farm School OC programs but our older students will dive deeper into the world of life sciences and farm life.

This class will include culinary explorations featuring locally sourced seasonal produce, in-depth discussions on animal behaviors and habitats, engaging hands-on science experiments, crafting sessions tailored to the seasons and of course time brushing, feeding and caring for all the animals on the farm.

We love to teach our students that learning is fun and something they want to do daily!

This class will be meeting on Thursdays at Tanaka Farms in Irvine from 2pm to 4pm. 

Join us for a one day Christmas on the farm camp!

This one day camp will be on December 23rd from 10:30 to 1:30 and is for ages 3 1/2 to 7!

This day will be the perfect day to drop off your children for holiday fun on the farm while you finish up your holiday shopping!

One day camp registration for this event includes:

* Farm entrance fee

* Hot cocoa & holiday treats

* Holiday music sing-along & storytime with Ms. Brooke

* Holiday arts & crafts & ornament making

* Animal time brushing, petting and feeding all the farm animals

This one day camp will be on December 30th from 10:30 to 1:30 and is for ages 3 1/2 to 7!

* Lesson on hibernation - What it is and how different farm animals hibernate or get ready for winter

* Winter arts & crafts

* Animal time brushing, petting and feeding all the farm animals
