LADYBUG MUSIC™
Health Guidelines & Make-up Policy

As the weather fluctuates throughout our Southern California seasons, the sniffles and achoos can come fast and furiously. It's certainly part of having wee ones but there are some things we can all do to help keep our Ladybug families healthy.

At Ladybug Music we do lots of scrubbing, disinfecting, and hand washing. We love to share our ladybug instruments and give big bughugs, but the one thing we don't want to share are "bad bugs", so we do our best to keep things as clean as possible...but we need your help too!

The following is what we request of you, the parents, to make sure that each session we maintain the well being of all our families & teachers:

  • Please watch your children during instrument play - if they are mouthing any instruments please place them in our "wet bucket" so they are removed until cleaned.
  • Please feel free to use the disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizers we have available in our classrooms and, of course, nothing beats plain old soap and water hand washing to kill germs.
  • It may seem obvious but...if you or your child has a runny nose, fever, cough and/or seems "under the weather"--PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CLASS--
  • We offer two make-ups per session--along with plenty of FREE demo classes at the end of session--and will do our best to accommodate your family.

MAKE-UP SCHEDULING FAQs

How do I schedule a make-up?

We provide our families with an online make-up scheduler that allows you to locate a replacement class on a day and time that works for you. You can find the make-up scheduler on the left side of every page of our website--under the Classes heading--and it can be used to both schedule a new make-up and/or cancel a scheduled make-up that you will be unable to attend.

I already know that I'll miss the third week of class; can I schedule my make-up now?

Yes, that's a great idea! Our online make-up scheduler is available for your use as soon as the session starts. As make-up spots cannot be guaranteed--and are available on a first come, first served basis--it is a good idea to schedule them as soon as you miss (or know you are going to miss) class. While it's not required, it's always good to attend a make-up in the week missed (whenever possible) to help with the class consistency and repetition.

I'd like to come to the Tuesday 9:30 AM class, but I can't find it in the make-up scheduler; can I just drop-in?

Please be aware that if the specific class you're looking for does not appear in the make-up scheduler, it means the class is full and you will need to select a different date and/or time. PLEASE do not show up to a class for a make-up if you have not signed up online. Out of respect for the enrolled families, and the Ladybug teachers, we would be very grateful for your cooperation. We do our best to give you the optimal learning experience by keeping the class sizes appropriate for the Ladybug program, but we need your help to make sure our classes are not over crowded!

Can I bring an unregistered sibling to a make-up class?

We regret that we are unable to accommodate sibling visits at make-up classes. Sibling visits are offered as a courtesy as a way for your family to share in the class that your child attends, whereas our make-up spots are limited and need to be reserved for our students.

Can I carry my make-ups over to the next class session?

No, make-ups cannot be carried on to another semester and need to be used in the same session as the absence.  We offer a limited number of make-up spots in each class and we encourage our families to schedule their make-ups as the absences happen.  Make-ups cannot be guaranteed and are available on a first come, first served basis.  We offer several free demo classes (at all of our locations) between our sessions and you are welcome to join us for one as an alternate way to squeeze in a make-up class.

Please email us at Office@LadybugMusic.com with any questions or concerns about our make-up policy and procedures.
