Who is Uncle Gerry?

Uncle Gerry is returning to Santa Rosa this month!

YES! Uncle Gerry from our Music Together CDs (as in "Hello, I'm Uncle Gerry") is coming to the Bay Area from his home city of Chicago for a series of concerts for Music Together fans, and we have booked him to play in Santa Rosa!

When:  Wednesday, September 30, 5:30 PM (approximately 45 minutes long)

Where:   The Cove, at 5146 Old Redwood Hwy, Santa Rosa, 95403

What:   A benefit for "Aiden's Playground" *

Donation:   Sliding scale $20 - $50 per family of 5 -choose at check-out

Come and meet the man who has been singing to you and your children for years!! Or, if you haven't taken a Music Together class, and don't know Uncle Gerry, bring your kids for a concert treat!

Not only does Gerry sing for Music Together, but he also performs internationally, has recorded with Grammy-nominated cellist, David Darling, and has contributed to the work of Music for People (David Darling, co-founder), an organization dedicated to self-expression through improvisational music. He was also a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and performed at the Concerthalle in Berlin, Germany, as well as in New York at Carnegie Hall.

He has worked extensively at seminars, conferences and retreats, providing musical experiences internationally in song and dance, facilitating personal growth and strengthening community life.

*About our fund-raiser: Concert proceeds will benefit “Aiden’s Playground,” a project in cooperation with the City of Santa Rosa, to build a playground at "A Place to Play Park" in Santa Rosa, in memory of Aiden Hansen. Aiden, part of our music classes for 5½ of his 6 precious years, left us much too soon. You can learn more about Aiden's story here.

The park currently has no play structures, and building there will be a wonderful way to honor the memory of Aiden, and serve children and families in Santa Rosa for years to come.
