Babies are born musical! This class, designed for infants from birth to 8 months, offers a delightful introduction to Music Together for our youngest music-makers. The music activities and materials are designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in infants. Through engaging activities like finger plays, lap songs, songs without words and gentle movements, we create a joyful environment where you and your baby can bond and explore music together.
Babies are always welcome in any Mixed-Age Class if the schedule of the Babies class doesn’t work for you. If your baby is approaching 8 months or is already crawling, please consider our Mixed-Age Classes, which cater to children up to 5 years old. These classes offer a dynamic environment where older babies can interact with toddlers and preschoolers, fostering diverse musical experiences.
Remember, it’s never too early to start your baby’s musical journey. Just as they learn language by hearing you speak, they learn music by hearing you sing!
Join us at Tam Tam and watch your baby blossom into a confident music-maker. Enroll today and take the first step in becoming a musical family!

What age are the infants in a Babies class? Infants range from only a few weeks old to several months in this program! Babies will range anywhere from 2 weeks-7 months at the start of the semester. The babies are non-mobile for the majority of the semester.
My baby is under 7 months. Should I take a Babies or a Mixed Ages class? What’s the difference? The Babies class is structured in much the same way as a mixed-age class. In both classes your teacher will lead you through a variety of activities, facilitating fun and creative ways for you to interact musically with your baby. The main difference lies in parent education. Because the infants are non-mobile, there is a calmer energy in this class which allows the teacher more opportunities to explain the ‘whys’ behind the ‘whats’ and to point out emerging musical behaviors.
At what age should I start class with my baby? Now! Babies learn music the same way they learn language; by being immersed in it. Just as it is never too early to start talking to your baby, it is never too early to start singing with your baby.
What happens if I miss a class? You are welcome to schedule a makeup in any of our classes (Mixed Ages or Babies). All makeups must be scheduled before the end of current semester. Makeups do not transfer to the next semester. There are no credits nor refunds for missed classes.
Do you offer prorated tuition? Your tuition will be automatically prorated at checkout if you join after the semester begins.
