Privacy: We use your personal information for our own internal business purposes. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Early Childhood group class withdrawals/refunds: Full refunds are only available for withdrawals taking place at least 3 weeks prior to class start date. For withdrawals 1-3 weeks prior to class start date, a refund will be issued minus a $50 withdrawal fee. There are no refunds or credits for withdrawals taking place within 1 week of class start date (regardless of attendance), so please schedule your class carefully. All teacher absences will be made up at end of term, or a class refund will be granted. Please scroll down for weather cancellation policies.
Instructor absence: If an instructor must miss a class, the class will be made up at the end of the term. Class make-up will take place the week after the class term's end date (with the exception of a holiday), at the same class day and time. Refunds for an instructor cancellation will not be provided due to a family's inability to attend the make-up class. If an instructor is unable to offer a make-up day for a missed class, students will be refunded the class fee.
Piano lesson tuition payment policies: All lesson fees are due by first lesson day (minus any deposit paid), or a monthly Installment plan can be set up at time of registration. We're sorry, we cannot accept monthly payments by check.
Piano lesson withdrawals/refunds:
Fall & Spring terms: Prorated refund of all remaining lessons is available for withdrawals taking place before your fourth scheduled lesson day only (this includes trial lesson, and is regardless of attendance).
We require a 24 hours cancellation notice when withdrawing, or your next lesson will be charged for. No refunds will be granted for withdrawals taking place beyond fourth scheduled lesson day, and failure to attend lessons does not release student from responsibility to pay lesson fees for the remainder of the semester unless/until we are able to fill the lesson seat with another student.
Piano lesson make-up policy: We guarantee that one student absence* per term will be made up at the end of each semester (fall & spring). All teacher absences will be made up at the end of the term, or a refund will be issued. There are 2 weeks directly following the end of each term, for needed student and teacher makeups. Please note: we will not refund for missed makeup lessons due to a student's inability to attend.
*For students of Janna Bruene: Janna teaches on both Thursdays and Saturdays; therefore, occasional lesson swaps may be available. Ask us for details!
Weather and emergency Cancellations: In the case of extreme weather conditions, please check the website at jamaicaplainmusic.com where information will be posted regarding center closures.
Please note: One weather cancellation will be made up at end of term for all programs. Additional weather cancellations (or cancellations for events out of our control) are not made up or refunded, but families may schedule individual make-up classes if available.
Pandemic-related changes or closures: In the event that the Center must close due to a mandated lock-down, all programs will be taught either outdoors or on Zoom. We will not be able to provide refunds or credits for classes which must move outdoors or to Zoom in these cases.
