Tam Tam is dedicated to building a community that inspires and connects families through live, participatory music-making. Our award-winning family classes offer a stimulating, creative and developmentally-appropriate musical environment for children and their families in Brooklyn's neighborhoods of Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant. We are passionate about bringing Music Together to families in Brooklyn and NYC -- here is why :)

Our director can also help you set up a weekly pod Music Together class in your building in any of the neighborhoods where we teach public classes (we need a minimum of 5 families with children 0-5 years old).

A new song collection each semester

Every semester we learn a new collection of songs, so you can expand your family’s musical repertoire and learn over 200 songs over three years! When you revisit the same song collection after three years, your child will engage with the music in a completely different way, deepening their musical learning and expressive skills.

In addition to weekly classes, you will get song recordings and materials to use at home, including a beautifully illustrated songbook, as well as bilingual English-Spanish music recordings and lyrics booklet. Here’s why: playing with Spanish sounds will strengthen your child’s listening skills, phonetic awareness, flexible thinking, and give you a chance to play with the new sound patterns alongside your child.

This fall, families will come together to sing, play, laugh, and learn with the Music Together BONGOS Song Collection. The songs include lots of upbeat, active songs like “See How I’m Jumping,” our take on the timeless nursery rhyme “Hey, Diddle, Diddle,” and beautiful melodies such as the Japanese song “Hotaru Koi” and “Walking through the Woods.”

Tuition

If you join the 11-week semester late, your tuition will be automatically prorated at checkout.

Music Together tuition includes:

• Weekly classes with our beloved teachers. 11 weeks in the spring/fall/winter semesters, and 4-8 weeks in the summer.
• Unlimited makeups are available if space allows. All makeups must be scheduled before the end of semester.
• Class materials: You will receive a beautifully illustrated songbook and music download code in your first class.
