In addition to being the co-founder and Artistic Director of Vanguard Theater Company, Janeece is an Artist in Residence at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in the Musical Theater Education Department, where she has worked with Musical Director Ray Chew (American Idol) and Musical Director Seth Rudetsky (Seth’s Big Fat Broadway.)  Through a partnership with the Johnny Mercer Foundation and NJPAC, Janeece assisted in writing and implementing the curriculum for a Musical Theater Writing program that takes place in Urban Neighborhoods throughout New Jersey.  Janeece runs a private vocal studio in South Orange, NJ, where she resides with her family. She is an active member of Midtown Direct Repertory Theater where she has presented (In the capacity of performer and more recently - director) over a dozen plays by contemporary playwrights.

Janeece is a graduate of the University of Michigan (Musical Theater, Voice Performance and Music Education). Directing credits include: Everything Is Fine Until It’s Not, which debuted at NY’s Fringe Festival to rave reviews, was a sold-out run, and the fastest selling show in NY’s Fringe Festival history; A Night In New Orleans (the story of a young Louis Armstrong), which premiered to critical acclaim at New Jersey Performing Arts Center;  A Portrait of Ray, a musical about the legendary Ray Charles, which had it’s Off Broadway debut in 2016 at Symphony Space, and was presented at Symphony Hall as a part of the 2016 Newark 350 Celebration. Other directing credits include: Oklahoma, Hairspray, West Side Story, The Wiz, Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Aida, Annie, Into the Woods, Tarzan, Seussical, and the Music Man.

Terri has been teaching music for over 25 years and presently teaches musical theater at the Cicely L. Tyson School of Performing Arts.  Terri has been the musical director for over 60 shows throughout New York and New Jersey.

Patrick Swailes Caldwell The Office! A Musical Parody (Swing) PharmaBro (Martin Shkreli) is an actor, director, songwriter, and clown. Having graduated from Fordham College at Lincoln Center with a B.A in Theatre, Patrick has produced and collaborated on a diverse background of work, including their debut solo show The Circus is Cancelled, for which they received the Ira Eaker Special Achievement Bistro Award. Their other works have been featured at myriad of venues including NJPAC, the PIT, the Duplex, the Edinburgh Fringe festival and others.

Jonathan Duvelson is a graduating senior at Montclair State University’s Musical Theater Program, where he’s performed in 9 productions from contemporary musicals such as Aida to classics like Anything Goes. With an affinity for dance, Jonathan has choreographed pieces for Musicals since high school and frequents his time choreographing for Montclair State University,  Vanguard Theater Company, and many other organizations. Jonathan recently signed with The Mine Agency and is leaping into work in the professional world.

As a make-up artist he’s worked on musicals, music video shoots, films, weddings, sweet sixteens, photoshoots and more! He’s also a trained Musical Theater Artist who has appeared in dozens of musicals and counting!

LAUREN PALMERI: National Tours: Elf the musical (First Nat’L) , as well as Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Belle cover). She has also appeared and performed as 'Belle' at various press events around the US including a Miami Heat game at the American Airlines Arena. Her regional credits include tick,tick...BOOM! (Susan) and Funny Girl (Fanny Brice) at Skyline Theatre Company. My Fair Lady (John W. Engeman Theatre). A Chorus Line (Diana Morales), and The Sound of Music (Leisl) at the Mac-Hadyn Theatre in NY . NJPAC performance credits include Carousel (Julie Jordan), and Ragtime (Mother). She has also appeared as a lead vocalist for Princess Cruise Lines’ World Crusie 2017, at the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City and at The Fallsview Casino in Ontario. Lauren holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

A performer first, Lawrence Dandridge has a long list of credits. Most notably as TJ in the 2nd National US Tour of Sister Act The Musical. Dandridge has since been producing and directing concerts, workshops, readings, and full productions throughout New Jersey, New York and California of his original musicals.

Lawrence is most excited to continue his pursuit of playwriting and composing his own original work while also performing full time. With a growing repertoire, Lawrence is excited to pursue his artistic vision of opening a Repertory Theatre Company geared towards original pieces that highlight the voices and experiences of people of color .

Veronica Gonmiah is a Newark native and Arts High School alum. Veronica is a freelance photographer, as well as an independent professional flyer and content creator. Along with performing as a singer and in musical theatre, Veronica also works on the production side of things, taking on such roles as production manager, stage manager, production designer, and set/costume design for many film and theatrical pieces. Jessica is the Managing Director of Vanguard Theater Company, and an accomplished visual artist. When she’s not helping Janeece realize Vanguard’s vision, or painting in her studio, Jessica is practicing and teaching yoga, and is a 500 hour certified instructor. She has taught yoga and meditation at Lotus Yoga, Garden State and Powerflow, and JaiPure.

Originally from Bloomfield, New Jersey, Hallie was introduced to the performing arts by her Broadway performer parents. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of Southern California's School of Theatre in Los Angeles and now works as a professional film and television actress and audiobook narrator. Her credits include Barbershop: The Next Cut, Nashville, Spiderman: Homecoming, NCIS: New Orleans, Dynasty, and American Soul. She has also narrated more than fifty audiobook titles across various genres for Audible, Hachette, Brilliance, Dreamscape, Blackstone, and Macmillan. When she’s not behind the camera or the microphone, Hallie helps other artists hone their acting technique and on-camera auditioning skills. Hallie is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

Ryan McGovern aka @roomcgoo is a musical comedian, writer/director, and teaching artist based in Jersey City, NJ. As a comedian and singer, he has appeared at Caroline's on Broadway, 54 Below, Club Cumming, Dixon Place, The People's Improv Theatre and The iHeartRadio Lounge TriBeCa. He is the creator/bookwriter of The Showmen (The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, Musical Theatre Factory, Don't Tell Mama) and Roo-ining Christmas (Best Musical, Vancouver WebFest 2017), and has produced and edited web series for various musicians and comedians. He has also devised and/or directed dozens of musicals with young actors, most recently for Vanguard Theatre Company, NJPAC, and McCarter Theatre Center.

ELISA VAN DUYNE has been seen and heard on Broadway in 42nd Street (Lorraine),
Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), 110 in the Shade (Lily Ann Beasley) with Audra Mc-
Donald, and Finian’s Rainbow (Sharon cover/dance captain). She’s also performed in
over 40 regional productions including Ragtime at The Kennedy Center, Sound of Music
at Fulton Opera House and Kiss Me Kate at Papermill Playhouse, to name a few. Her
national tours include White Christmas and Dr. Dolittle, and the European tour of Phan-
tom of the Opera, in which she performed Christine. Some of her favorite roles include
Betty Blake in Will Rogers Follies, Velma in Chicago, Milly in Seven Brides For Seven
Brothers, and Young Little Edie in the regional premier of Grey Gardens. She has ap-
peared on TV in Person Of Interest, As the World Turns, The Late Show With David Let-
terman, Good Morning America, The 2001 TONY Awards, PBS Great Performances and
the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Over the last several years she’s had the honor
of sharing the stage with such diverse talents as Audra McDonald, Tom Wopat, Shirley
Jones, John Cullum, Donny Osmond,Tommy Tune and the New York Philharmonic. This
summer, she will be performing at the Skinner Barn in Waitsfield, VT.
