ATTENTION:

The one-time "New Student Registration Fee" is applied to each new chorister in a family.  You are considered a new chorister if you are:

1.  A NEW student registering for fall or spring semester at Cantabella for the first time.

2.  A returning CCC student who has missed one ore more semesters. 

ALL NEW STUDENTS (any level class) please add the $50 "New Student Reg Fee" to your cart under the "Product" page.  

Currently enrolled students DO NOT pay the registration fee when re-registering.  New student registration fee and volunteering not required for summer workshops or camps.

Class Descriptions
Cantabella Training Choir One

CTC-1: Beginning training choir for students ages K-1st. Cantabella Training Choir classes are taught in the Kodály approach for children K thru 5th grades. There are three levels of CTC classes: CTC-1, CTC-2, and CTC-3.

Cantabella Training Choir Two

CTC-2: Intermediate training choir for students ages 2nd-3rd grade.

Cantabella Training Choir Three

CTC-3: Advanced training choir for students in 4th-5th grade.

Children's Choir

CC: The Children’s Choir is composed of choristers in the 5th through 8th grades. Singers are placed in choir levels by audition according to age, maturity, music ability, theory knowledge and space availability.  

Chamber Choir

CH: The Chamber Choir is composed of our advanced male and female choristers in the 7th through 12th grades. This choir consists of SATB voices, including boys with either treble or changed voice. Singers are placed in choir levels by audition according to age, maturity, music ability, theory knowledge and space availability. Students in the Chamber Choir will have opportunities to attend local or regional choral festivals. 

Honors Choir

HC: The Honors Choir is an auditioned choir for male or female treble singers, 7th through 12th grade, who are interested in preparing for choral competition.  Members of the Honors Choir must be committed to possible national or international travel for choral festivals or competitions.  Honors Choir is only offered Thursdays at our Pleasanton location and is strictly by audition or invitation.

CC Summer Workshop (by permission only)

Summer workshop, by invitation only by the director, to prepare for promotion to the Children's Choir (CC). Choose one session only. 

CH/HC Summer Workshop (by permission only)

Summer workshop, by invitation only by the director, to prepare for promotion to the Chamber Choir (CH) and Honors Choir (HC). Choose one session only.

Cantabella Children's Summer Camp

Choral, Rhythm & Movement Camp

"Singing is FUN!"

Cantabella introduces your child to the first step of ensemble singing with choral director Velma Lee at our DoReMi and MiFaSo Summer Camps. Singing is more fun with many friends as well as special classes like Rhythm and Percussion led by Philip Didlake and Movement and Dance led by choreographer Connie Zaug. Your child will have hands-on experience with different types of drums and music movement. Sign up now for DoReMi for incoming fall grades K-2 or MiFaSo for incoming fall grades 3-5 for a special week of music fun with the Cantabella Summer Camps! Our classes are open to beginners as well as those with a music background. Families are invited to a mini-concert on the last day of camp.
