WeDo LEGO® Robotics
Students are introduced to robotics by building and programming LEGO® projects, using sensors, motors and LEGO®'s playful WeDo software. Projects include an alligator that opens and closes its mouth as "prey" approaches, a bird with flapping wings, and an airplane whose propeller spins. Families are invited to the final class to see a presentation of final projects.
1-4pm Afternoon Session
Coding & Video Game Design
Students will create their own engaging, interactive animations and video games complete with characters, settings, obstacles and controls using MIT Media Lab's Scratch software. Our program emphasizes mathematics and literacy skills while fostering creativity and applied learning. *Students should be reading on a first grade reading level for Scratch programming.
