Wild Summer Camps

Half Day and Full Day Camps! 

CAMP HOURS:  9-12pm  & 1-4pm  
           FULL DAY AVAILABLE by combining two half day camps and Lunch hour (registration is required)
 
CAMP WEEKS:  June 19 - August 10    NO CAMPS WEEK OF JULY 2 - 6
CAMP COST: $145 each 1/2day camp. Lunch $28 / week. (lunch is for full day campers only)

NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $50 PER STUDENT/ CAMP IS DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION

DISCOUNTS: 10% sibling discount
AGE BREAKDOWN:  CAMPS ARE DESIGNED TO BE APPROPRIATE FOR STUDENTS ENTERING K-8th Grade. 

WHAT IS OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Most camps cover a variety of art mediums working within a theme or concept.  Perfect for the young person who wants to explore, practice and grow creatively.
Our instructors are artists who teach and enjoy working with students of all ages.  
We focus on Creativity, Fun, Imagination.  Our age appropriate camps build on art skills and included activities that will develop art technique, art skills and creative thinking.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGES IN OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS 
We have had difficulty with folks signing up for multiple camps and cancelling at the last minute, it is our hope that these policies will allow for more families to participate in our WiLd Summer camps. Camp registrations are not confirmed until a non-refundable, non-transferable, deposit of $50 is received for EACH camp registration.

Let's Tinker!! Tinkering is a fun, messy and creative time. We will use color, texture and more to encourage experimentation and imagination. We will also paint, draw, explore read stories and sing songs.  Campers MUST be able to use bathroom independently.

Imagine a larger than life personality celebrated in art!  This is your chance to think big as we design, build, paper mache’, and paint our very own GIANT masks. By the end of the week we will be ready to show off our creativity and mask making skills in our own parade!

 


SEW A SLEEPOVER (Full)

ENTERING GRADES 5-7
Learn how to make your own Pillow case, Backpack, and PJ Bottoms for your next sleepover.  Kids will learn how to hand sew, and use the sewing machines.  You can bring your own sewing machine or use the one at the center.  Material list will be emailed before class! Be the envy of all your friends to have matching or mix matched sleepover items!  Sewing is a life skill!  Come have some fun!  No experience is necessary.

This class will include exposure to a variety of art mediums and techniques in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and more! Enjoy the process and see the amazing results in making color sense art!

                 


RECYCLED FASHION

ENTERING GRADES 5-7
Tired threads turned into trendy treasures.  Project Runway inspired challenges will push our creativity to the limits as we create clothes and accessories from unconventional materials.  We'll also look at what kinds of interesting things can be made from discarded clothing.   We are sure to have a fun, fantastic, and fabulous time with recycled fashion.

FAIRYTALES (Full)

ENTERING GRADES 1-2
Join us on an exploration of the world of Fairy Tales and magic with painting, sculpture, dioramas, masks, and puppets. We will read different fairy tales such as Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Then we will create imaginary characters: dragons, elves, witches, giants, talking bears, and fairy godmothers. We will also write our own fairy tale and illustrate it.


MYTHS AND LEGENDS

We will have a week of art adventure with myths, legends, and tall tales.  Students will hear stories and create art projects to bring them to life.  Characters and settings will be created through paintings, collage, and sculpture.  Students will work on individual and group projects and create their own fantastic story.

Folding ,Twisting , Binding and Stamping.  Design your own fabric using a variety of resist-dying techniques. Enjoy a fun week of Batik, Shibori, Tie-Dye and more.  Create one of a kind colorful designs and unique patterns on fabric.  Join us for an exciting week of Textile Art!


ZANY SCULPTURES

Join fiber artist Rachel Benson for this one of a kind camp that is all about miniatures.  This camp is designed as a full day experience creating miniature spaces, inside, outside, boxes and bottles !  Environments that you can continue to grow long after our Friday Art Show   Campers will spend half the day doing multimedia and fiber and half the day doing Polymer Clay.  Best of all is the shared project that will knock your sox off.  This camp is perfect for the young artist that enjoys working small, is patient and detail oriented. Learn about street art and street artists!  Create your own alias in a street font on a poster!  Then we will also create your initial in a  3D cardboard sculpture and paint it in the style and colors of a street artist of their choice!

We will create a space where we can relax, create and celebrate the beauty of summer!  Flowers are in full bloom and so are our imaginations.  We will explore the tiny wonders that surround us where we will plant the seeds of creativity and watch our imagination bloom.  More than paint, pencils and paper we are going to express ourselves!

Bird seed, bird houses and other birdie treats along with wonderfully art filled days with beautiful projects that are sure to delight and be unique! 
This will be a dress for mess kind of week!  Morning and afternoon will be different so if you want to do a half day or full day thats OK.

ENTERING GRADES 4 - 6
Animals are fun to draw and paint!  This class will teach you how to build upon a few basic shapes, create expression and personality, and how to add shading and texture to bring your animal art to life!  In this class we'll work with different types of pencils, pastels, pen & ink, watercolors, and acrylics.  Near the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to draw their own pet or favorite animal!
