Fall/Spring Production Family Volunteer Buyout

Every family is required to commit to five hours of volunteer time, or a buy-out of $100 per family.  Volunteer sign-up or buyout MUST be completed 30 days prior to performance.  To sign up to volunteer, look for an email a few weeks after the start of class. To pay buyout online select/add "Volunteer Buyout" as a class and proceed with registration.  Buyout can also be paid by personal check directly to LBMP. 

If you have already registered and are returning to add Volunteer Buyout to your registration, you will need to start the registration process from the beginning and select "Volunteer Buyout" as your class.

Fall 2017 Performance Workshop Lead Cast

Fall 2017 Performance Workshop - Lead Cast

 

Children ages 8-18 will sing, dance, act, learn proper stage etiquette while having lots of fun – onstage and off! This workshop includes eleven weeks of classroom rehearsals, five weeks of rehearsals onstage, and one weekend of full production shows February 2-5, 2018.  Each child will be cast in one or more character roles—all roles include singing, acting, and dancing.

 

This fall’s production is…Getting to Know the Sound of Music!

 

In order to provide the most performance opportunities for the most children, two different casts (Musical Notes and Top Hats) rehearse on different days of the week and perform in three separate shows each. Because there are two separate casts, a child may be asked to fill in for another cast as an understudy replacement if the need arises.

 

Musical Notes Lead Cast - class is full as of 9/2/17, you can sign up for the waitlist on the registration page

Weekly Classes on Mondays 3:30pm-5:30pm (6:30pm on some weeks)

 

Classroom Rehearsals:

9/25 (3:30-5:30, then parent meeting at 5:30), 10/2 (Auditions 3:30-6:30) 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11

 

Beginning in the third week of class, Linda will request specific students to stay one extra hour for blocking rehearsals. In blocking rehearsals, Linda works on staging individual scenes with the students, so the characters who are required to stay will vary each week. Weekly email reminders will be sent out to confirm which students are needed. 6:30pm will be the end time if called for blocking rehearsals.

 

Theater Rehearsals:

1/2, 1/8, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30 (Dress Rehearsal)

 

These Theater Rehearsals are on Mondays and Tuesdays and are all 3:00-7:00.

 

Performances:

Friday, February 2nd at 6:00 pm

Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 pm

Sunday, February 4th at 6:00 pm

 

Students are required to be backstage one hour prior to show time.

 

 

 

Top Hats Lead Cast

Weekly Classes on Wednesdays 3:45pm-5:30pm (6:30pm on some weeks)

 

Classroom Rehearsals:

9/27 (3:45-5:30, then parent meeting at 5:30), 10/4 (Auditions 3:45-6:30) 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13

Tuition: $725

 

Included in tuition:

Each student receives a LBMP T-shirt, show script, practice CD, cast photo, and DVD of the performance. You are welcome to purchase additional photos and DVDs. Tuition also covers the cost of the Cast Party.

 

Additional requirements:

Every family is required to commit to five hours of volunteer time, or a buy-out of $100 per family. Volunteer sign-up or buyout MUST be completed 30 days prior to performance. To pay buyout online, select "Volunteer Buyout" as a class and proceed with registration. Buyout can also be paid by personal check directly to LBMP.

Children will need to provide either black character shoes or black jazz shoes (or both).  Children will also be asked to provide tights, shorts and a light-colored tank top to wear underneath costumes beginning with the dress rehearsal.

A $25.00 deposit is required for each script this year because they are rented  and must be returned to Roger and Hammerstein in New York. All scripts MUST be returned in good condition no later than Saturday, 2/3/2018. Please bring a $25.00 check (made out to "Linda Bulgo's Musical Productions," with your child's name in the subject line) to the first day of class or to the parent meeting. In February, once Linda receives your child’s script back, the $25.00 check will be returned to you immediately. ALL scripts need to be returned. If damaged or lost, you will lose the $25.00 deposit.

No replacement CDs can be issued this year.

Pick-up from school is available for children who are attending St. Finn Barr or Sunnyside Elementary, only through the Classroom Rehearsal period. If you would like Linda to walk your student from school to our location at St. Finn Barr, register for your performance workshop class first, then "add a class" to include afterschool pickup. Please add Linda Bulgo to your child's school emergency card and/or authorized pickup list.

There will be a Parent Meeting immediately following the first day of the lead classes at St. Finn Barr.
